Just remember that in these reverse rotation applications that the front cylinder becomes the rear for ignition purposes. When using the DS6-2 single fire, simply reverse the black and white wires. This unit is a hall effect unit & works very well. easier starting than the points set up I previously had, and hopefully less maintenance. It's got two wires, 1 goes to +12v & the other goes to your 3 ohm coil. I like the dyna coils.
WebJul 18, 2003 · With the Dyna S, does it have 1 or 2 pickups? If it has 1 pickup then it is a dual fire ignition (fires both cylinders at the same time). If it has 2 pickups, it is then the single fire ignition. Like what Wurkenman said, these ignitions and most of the other electronic systems on the harleys use 3 ohm coils.
