WebSep 3, 2024 · I have Apple Care valid until December. The screen has popped up in the centre due to the swollen battery. Apple Store ran diagnostics which flagged the iOS version. As a result they would not take the phone in for replacement/repair. They would only do it if I downgrade to iOS 12. Restoring an old backup didn't revert to iOS 12.
